On December 1st, a seven-person investigating delegation of the Ministry of Justice Vietnam visited CCAA. The director-general, Zhang Shifeng, deputy director-generals, Chu Xiaoying and Gan Weiwei, heads and staff of concerned departments at the CCAA met respectively with the delegation to give presentations about the implementing status of the Hague Adoption Convention in China and the practice of CCAA with regard to inter-country adoptions and domestic adoptions. The CCAA also used this opportunity to enquire about the legal structure and operating system for adoption in Vietnam. It was agreed that the meeting had strengthened mutual communication, and would be beneficial for future development of both sides. In addition, for the purpose of having an overall view about the system of inter-country adoptions in China, the delegation, with the assistance of CCAA, visited the Adoption Registration Centre of Guangdong Province and Gangzhou Children’s Welfare Institute on 6th December.
