With the cracks of the fireworks comes a happy new year. With the glamorous lanterns comes the hopeful spring. On the occasion of the new year, I sincerely wish all the colleagues and friends who have been contributing to China¨s inter-country adoption a happy, lucky and prosperous New Year!

Time flies and God only rewards those diligent. On retrospection of 2007, China Center of Adoption Affairs (CCAA) focused on protecting the best interests of orphaned and handicapped children and has made great achievement in finding better families for these children, concern over their development after adoption, advancement of child nurturing level in social welfare institutions and promoting the implementation of Hague Convention. During this year, departments of civil affairs on all levels have been committed to selfness devotion, initiative work, strict procedure and passionate service, creating a happy future for many orphaned and handicapped children. During this year, foreign adoption agencies have worked with us together out of love for China¨s orphaned and handicapped children, looking for families for them and helping the welfare institutions improve the nurturing quality. I, on behalf of the staff members of CCAA, would like to convey to all those who have been committed to China¨s inter-country adoption our sincere gratitude!

With the new year come a new beginning and a new journey. We have important missions on the shoulders as well as full confidence. In the year 2008 which has won world-wide attention we will always stick to the principle of ^all for the children ̄ and create a happy life for more orphaned and handicapped children with our love and efforts!
