Nanning Social Welfare Institute is located on No. 16 Xin Yang Street North, 3rd junction. With a total area of 73 hectares, it is the first government social welfare institution unit, belonging to Nanning Municipal Civil Administrative Council. Our institution was first built in 1951, to help and support for our city’s orphaned children, elderly, disabled individuals and other needy individuals in our community and to provide a series of services in our comprehensive institution.

Our institution protects the rights of elderly and children in their best interests. We create a loving family atmosphere, fulfilled our mission to care for the “3 NOs” individuals (no home, no employment, no support), and also rehabilitation and educational work for the elderly and children. We’ve actively facilitated a strong base for volunteer service, and welcomed domestic and international organizations and visitors with warm and friendly attitudes; appreciating their kindness and donations, enthusiastically collaborating with domestic and international NGOs to implement joined projects, benefiting elderly and children, as part of the “Guangxi’s Autonomous Region’s Social Welfare Unit, we are the region’s first rated welfare institute’ the region’s spiritually modernized unit; and our nation’s civil administrative primary unit “Xing feng” construction advanced unit.

Children’s Wing’s Children’s Welfare Building was built and in use in 2003. It is a comprehensive building with facilities such as a nursery, guidance and education center, educational training school, treatment center, physical and body training room, recreational center, common room, kiddies cafeteria, and many other facilities in order to provide nursing and care, medical treatment and rehab, education, foster care, and training all in one center. In sync with the development goal towards deinstitutionalization of social welfare, the Children’ welfare department has made some changes and modifications to make Children’s department become a resource center for children’s welfare unit, which is also a rehab center for children with disability and chronic illnesses. We provide excellent facilities and professional services for children in need of rehab; we serve as a shelter for orphaned children and abandoned infants; We also provide training and guidance counseling services for family who are ready to adopt or foster care family. Not only that, we are the community family support center for basic child care, education services, and also specialized expertise for family with disabled children who may require special support. We try to relieve their strain and difficulties brought on by their unique family circumstances.

Our entire staff at the children’s welfare department are working hard towards standardize management, regularize services, professionalize our team of staff, actively develop all sorts of projects in making Children welfare development to become a professional service institution.
