☆ On April 27,2005 <<inter country adoption for protection of children and cooperation agreement>> was approved and published by the Standing Committee of the Chinese National People's Congress (NPC).

☆ On June 18,2005 Ministry of Civil Affairs of the People’s Republic of China approved China Center of Adoption Affairs set up Children Upbringing Department; Domestic Adoption Department; and Office of General Services. The liaison department changed the name into information & technology department. The department I changed the name into adoptive candidates reviewing department. The department II changed the name into international adoption placement department. Presently CCAA has nine departments.

☆ On June 20,2005 Ministry of Civil Affairs of the People’s Republic of China entrusts the works of children’s upbringing of social welfare institutes and domestic adoption to China Center of Adoption Affairs. It is definite that CCAA accepts the duties of these two works.

☆ On Aug.29-31,2005 CCAA held a meeting of the First Training Program of Raising Children of social welfare institutes in China in Chongqing. Over 30 representatives from more than 20 provinces,cities,and autonomous regions attended the training program. The representatives from adoption agencies and organization of U.S.,Sweden, Spain were invited to attend the meeting. In the training program Chinese & western representatives also signed their signatures on <<Children Health Development of China Social Welfare Institutes Associate Proposal>> to appeal to social attention and to promote children’s health development of social welfare institutes.

☆ On Sep.3-5, 2005 Social Welfare and Affairs Department of Ministry of Civil Affairs of the People’s Republic of China, and CCAA held international adoption meeting to part of provinces and cities in Yunnan province. In the meeting it was summarized and exchanged situations on following up and implement the << Regulation to International Adoption of Social Welfare Institute>>. It was also discussed and searched major issues on international adoption work at present and made solutions.

☆ On Sep.15-25,2005 China government delegation attended special committee for <<Inter-country adoption for protection children and cooperate agreement>> held in Hague,Holand. China government delegation submitted the approval letter to join in this agreement from China government. This agreement will effect in China on Jan.1,2006.
