From April 10 to 14, 2008, the Training Course for Online Operation System of CCAA was held successively in Gangdong Center of Adoption Registration and Jiangxi Center of Adoption. Relevant staff members and directors from 15 welfare institutions in Guangdong and 16 institutions in Jiangxi took part in the training. Officials from departments of civil affairs of the two provinces were present and addressed the training course. Staff members from China Center of Adoption Affairs (CCAA) were present to give lectures. This training plays a great role in enhancing the use of Online Operation System for Special Needs Children and expediting the process of looking for families for the orphaned and handicapped children.

During the training, the students learned to install and debug scanning machines, scan and prepare the files for special needs children, modification of the photos after scanning as well as the application, review and other operational processes on this system. They discussed about the preparation of children¡¯s files and gave hand-on practices during the training. Through learning the use of online operation system, the students found the system user-friendly and became familiar with the characteristics and operational methods, indicating that they would grasp the use of this system to enhance communication and use it to help the orphaned and handicapped children return to families as soon as possible.

During the training, CCAA dispatched 31 sets of equipment donated by ASG Co. and Arthur and Carole Allen, including computers, scanning machines and digital cameras to social welfare institutions. We would like to thank US Children¡¯s Hope International, ASG Co. and Arthur and Carole Allen for their great support to children¡¯s welfare of China!
