In July this year, the China Center of Adoption Affairs formally created the Domestic Adoption Department. The Domestic Adoption Department’s main roles are twofold: one, to investigate and research domestic adoption and domestic adoption consultation and service; and two, to assume the work of the Civil Administration Bureau’s “Handicapped Orphans’ Surgery & Rehabilitation Tomorrow Plan.”
